Florida’s
Health Information Exchange (HIE) program is saving lives
and improving health care outcomes in regional communities
today. The program is enabling medical records to move electronically
between health care providers within a region. By transferring
data through secure networks, providers are gaining quick
and reliable access to patient health records exactly when
needed. This improvement in the availability of medical records
at the time of treatment is transforming Florida’s healthcare
system, one community at a time.
Members of the Florida
Association of RHIOs (FAR), an alliance of HIE and health
care advocates, believe every patient and every provider will
benefit by having access to electronic health care exchange.
Join us in promoting regional
and statewide efforts to build a comprehensive and secure
electronic information network in Florida … which will
result in a safer, more efficient, and more affordable healthcare
system for all.
