In Florida, the primary facilitators of HIE activity are a group of community-based organizations known as Regional Health Information Organizations or RHIOs. Each Florida RHIO was created to serve the needs of health care providers and consumers in its community, with a goal of sharing information on a statewide basis to improve delivery of services, eliminate duplicative or unnecessary procedures, improve emergency care, and stabilize rising costs for health care services and insurance.

FAR provides a unified voice and coordinating resource for regional HIE efforts across Florida, while encouraging diversity and locally-based operations. Click a location on the state map, or use the list to the left, to get information about specific Florida RHIOs and HIE organizations.

Please click on a location link on the map or in the list to the left for more information to a specific Florida-based RHIO.
